Scar camouflage - Medical tattooing (Dry needling)
What is
|
Scars on your body and face can leave you feeling imperfect, uncomfortable and lacking confidence. Scar camouflage tattoos are long-term solutions for camouflaging scarring, achieved through the infusion of pigment into scar tissues.
Using prescriptive colors and the highest-quality equipment, I implant color pixels into your scar, mimicking your skin tone and blending your scar into the surrounding skin. To reach the best result you need 2 sessions (rarely 3). I'd rather implanting lighter and less pigments during the first treatment and after it healed, I can adjust the color/darkness perfectly to the surrounded skin. |

This is a recommended treatment prior to scar camouflage.
It’s a simple but incredibly effective solution. My device uses fine needles to penetrate directly the damaged skin, creating a micro trauma. This treatment triggers the body’s natural healing process, causes regeneration of healthy tissue and collagen production. As a result, the skin will rejuvenate itself, becomes firmer, smoother and has a more even tone, and improve the appearance of the surgery scars, burns, chicken pox... I tailor the treatment to your specific needs, targeting precisely the areas where scars are visible. The adjustable needle depth ensures optimal results for different types of scars, whether they are caused by acne, surgery, burns or others. |

What happens on the treatment

Your journey with me will start with a CONSULTATION, where I analise your scar/stretch mark area and make your treatment plan.
Then, I will need to carry out a patch test, to make sure everything I am using is safe on your skin. Finally, I will go through the healing process and aftercare, so you can insert the treatment into your everyday life. On the TREATMENT day:

All clients should be patch tested 48 hours before the treatment to see any allergic reactions.

This part is extremely important to reach the best result. The body healing response plays a big part in the final result, but this is something I can not control on my side.
DO NOT rub, pick or scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking will cause more scarring! Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for a minimum of 4 weeks after your procedure. Direct sunlight/tanning can cause hyperpigmentation and additional scarring. Use SPF 50+ even in a cloudy day as the sunrays still affect. NO swimming and public bathing for 2 weeks to avoid bacterial infection. Avoid heavy exercise for 2 days. Avoid ingest seafood, eggs, corn, cow's milk, pork, shrimp, chocolate and peanuts in the first 10 days after each session, as these activate histamine causing an allergic reaction. Drink a lot of water to keep the hydration to the body. |
Healing
|
If you need to, you can go back to work right away. There may be some redness in the area and slight discomfort for the first day or two. However, in most cases, clients return to normal activities the same day.
However, I would go through the aftercare before booking the appointment, consider the facts you can and can't do after the treatment. |

It will take several weeks for the pigmentation to fully set in, so please be patient, trust your body and the healing process. I will ask you to return to my salon for a control visit/treatment around 6 weeks after the procedure. Both scar camouflaging and dry needling are not a quick fix, they are multiple session treatments.
