Prior - During
SPMU Treatment
Before booking a SPMU appointment |
Online you can buy this (15 day course) tablets on https://www.ukmeds.co.uk/aciclovir. I would recommend to ask gp's opinion first before ordering them online. The pigment usually (80-90%) stays in the area of the cold sores. - If you have had any type of lip surgery, consult with the physician about how long you should wait before having a semi-permanent makeup procedure on the lips. Semi-permanent makeup artists have noticed poor color retention in lips that have received collagen injections within 6 months. There has even been a little pigment migration along lip edges with Restylane. It may be best not to have lip filler injections and semi-permanent lip color within the same year. - Oral prosthesis dentures/ partials/ braces and tongue piercing bars may increase risk of getting bacterial and/or fungal infection from the mouth to the lips. Denture wearers generally carry a higher candida/ yeast count. Recent antiobiotic therapy can be responsible for a high candida count. Steroid medications and antacid drugs can allow candida to overpopulate. Smokers tend to have a high count also. Just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean it isn’t there. The bacteria-yeast balance in the mouth can get out of whack, and the oral saliva will get in the holes made by tattooing lips. Lips can get infected easily. Bacterial infections clear up more quickly than Candida Albicans infections. It is possible to have a co-infection when both bacteria and fungus are involved. It is possible to get a candida infection right after clearing up a bacterial infection. |

During the SPMU treatment
|
On the first appointment (which lasts ~ 3 hours) I prefer to give a natural appearance.
During your second treatment (lasts ~1.5 hours) I can add additional color, length and thickness which happens 6-8 weeks later, but not longer than 3 months. 1/ Anaesthetic (~20-30 mins)
I will clean and apply a topical anaesthetic to the area you’re having a procedure done. If having eyeliner done I will apply this after we go through the paperwork as this happens with your eyes closed. 2/ Paperwork I will ask you to sign the Medical Consent Form and Treatment Consent Form. 3/ Mini Consultation Then we are going to focus on discussing your treatment and ensure we are both on the same page and I fully understand what you want so that you leave fully satisfied. We discuss with more details:
4/ Photographs I will take some „before‟ photographs for my records. If you are not happy for me to use the photographs in my portfolio, website or social media pages, please select this when you sign the declaration form. 5/ Drawing (~60 mins) I will use specific measurements and draw the very first template on so we can discuss the further adjustment you wish. Then I will correct the drawing slightly and then we discuss the shape again and again. This might take time, but I am willing to make little changes until we reach the exact look what you have in your mind. 6/ Procedure (~45-60 mins) I won’t start the “tattooing” until you are 100% satisfied with the temple I have made. 7/ Final clean up and you check I will clean up all excess pigment, get you to sit up slowly and then I will ask you to look yourself on the wall mirror and if you still find something to adjust I will do it there. As I said earlier, I am going to reach the very final result on the second treatment. The first one is more of a “on the way to get the desired result”. 8/ Photographs I will take some „after‟ photographs for my records. Please let me know if you are not happy for me to use the photographs in my portfolio, website or social media pages. 9/ Aftercare advice I will give you the aftercare balm/cream (only for eyebrows and lip treatment) and we are discussing when and how to apply. I will quickly go through the main part of the aftercare and healing process. I will also give you an aftercare information leaflet to take away with you. This leaflet has already sent to you online. |
