What is Microneedling

Picture
t’s common for the skin to lose collagen with age or injury.
This is an advanced skin rejuvenation treatment with an electric needling device.

The procedure is designed to cause tiny injuries and the skin responds by making new collagen-rich tissue. This new skin tissue is more even in tone and texture. With adjustable needle depth, I penetrate active ingredients (combination of firming, anti-aging, whitening nutrient products) into the right layer of your skin to reach a much better final result.
Here I would like to highlight that this treatment is not a "quick fix", you need to dedicate at least 3 treatments (4 weeks apart) to see any result. Later it is recommended to have a refreshment treatment every 6 months.

This microneedling treatment:
  • Activate fibroblast cells, and amplify collagen and elastin, thus increasing the elasticity of the skin, anti-aging, and reducing fine lines,
  • Repair collagen and elastic fibers, so as to improve keratin clarity, skin dullness and pigmentation,
  • Can reach the deep skin to play an effect on acne marks extended to the deep skin,
  • Promote skin metabolism, so the skin can become smooth and the pores can be minimized.

Microneedling is relatively risk-free as long as the aftercare is strictly followed and recovery is quick, with redness usually subsiding after a day or so.

  • Do not scrub or exfoliate treatment areas for 1 week.
  • Do not have any other facial treatments for 2 weeks.

Healing stages

Day 1: Light to moderate swelling, redness, sensitivity to touch, itchiness and sometimes pin prick spots of bruising. Feeling dry and tight, and you may even experience a mild burning sensation. Your skin will have small openings after the microneedling is done, so you need to minimize touching your face and avoid applying your typical skincare routine to avoid irritation and infection..

Day 2: Skin will appear red or pink, resembling a moderate sunburn. You may also see scratches, bruising, or slight swelling and the skin could feel dry and tight. At this point: Skin will be actively healing, So you’ll want to continue the original gentle skincare for the first 3-5 days

Day 3: Redness, sensitivity, and swelling should all be greatly reduced, however, some sensitivity may linger, depending on how aggressive the treatment was. Many people also experience a roughness or dryness to their skin that makes it feel like sandpaper. Peeling is also normal at this stage.

Day 5
: Channels in your skin that were created by the microneedling have sealed up, and most of the redness, flakiness and sensitivity will have subsided by this point. However a small number of patients experience more peeling by the fifth day, due to increased cell turnover. Most skin will require extra hydration so soon after such a treatment, so consider adding a hyaluronic acid serum or heavier moisturizer to ramp up hydration levels. You can start using makeup.

Day 7
: Skin should be completely healed, and some people even begin to see a noticeable difference in their skin, namely an improvement in fine lines and wrinkles as well as overall texture. Collagen is still being produced and remodeled over the following weeks, so you can expect even more improvement.
